What DEAL collects, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
DEAL (usedeal.app) is operated by LOCAL GLOBAL WORLD INC. It’s a workspace for independent creatives and studios. For anything about your data, write to hello@usedeal.app.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us.
- Founding group requests: the name, role and email you give us when you accept the invitation on our homepage.
- What you put into DEAL: briefs, emails, ideas, contracts, files, budgets, fees, tasks and the details of the people you work with.
- Gmail, only if you connect it: DEAL can search your mail when you look for a message, keeps only the messages you choose to bring into a deal, and sends only the emails you choose to send.
- Technical data: your IP address and sign-in cookies, used to keep your account secure and to limit abuse.
How we use it
We use your information to run DEAL for you: to show each person their part of a deal, to let Dealbreaker read and organise what you add, to send sign-in links, invitations and updates you ask for, and to keep the service secure.
We don’t sell your information, we don’t show ads, and your work isn’t used to train AI models.
Who sees what
Inside DEAL, each person sees only what their role allows. Only you see the full budget, every fee and the profit on the job. Clients and collaborators see their own part. Dealbreaker answers each person only from what they’re allowed to see.
Who helps us run DEAL
We use a small number of providers, each only for its job:
- Cloudflare: hosting, our database and file storage.
- Supabase: sign-in.
- OpenAI: the AI that powers Dealbreaker. We ask it not to store what it reads, and its API data isn’t used to train its models.
- Resend: delivering our emails.
- Google: only if you sign in with Google or connect Gmail.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as you have an account, or until you ask us to remove it. You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your information at any time by writing to hello@usedeal.app.
Agreements that others have accepted with you are part of their records too, so some shared history may stay with them after you leave.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you directly when the change matters.
